LifesaverJune 25, 2009 Patti1955(Phoenix, Az.) I am thrilled with my new Periscope for my Kindle. The book light is great. I travel most of the year. This is perfect for reading on those long night flights. And it's great for reading in bed. I like that the light adjust to different angles. And the note pad is a lifesaver, especially when everyone wants you to look up a book they just know you would enjoy. Write it down, look it up later.
I only wish the corner holders for the Kindle were a little better quality/firmer. It doesn't hold it in place as well as my original case.

Functional I suppose, but great. I wouldn't buy again.June 4, 2009 Meghan Newkirk(Silver Spring, MD) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
First thing is the smell. I realize it's a synthetic, but the odor right out of the box was horrible. The cover held the kindle securely, better than the freebie that comes with the kindle. However, the light is not that great. It's poorly constructed flickers if you move it and the battery door was near impossible to close. I'm going to be returning it. Since the M-edge e-luminator light is no longer in production I guess I'm stuck with the mighty bright that I have to clip onto the cover. Unfortunately, I've broken the clip on mine and need to get another one.
I've seen the lightApril 24, 2009 JMZ(NY) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I received a Kindle from my husband last year and I immediately loved it. I took it everywhere and thought I was in heaven, except for one annoying thing. I couldn't really read it at night. Even in a room with a lamp I just could not get comfortable. I looked around for a light that would solve the problem and only came across clip on lights, which I abhor. Then I found Periscope. They make book lights contained within book covers and they make them for every kind of book. Kindle included, thankfully. I bought it, slipped my Kindle into it, and have never looked back! It protects and lights my Kindle. It even includes a pad of paper for when I take notes. I can't say enough about this wonderfully elegant solution!
Great Idea!April 22, 2009 Kindle Convert(New York) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
If you have a Kindle you need a cover and you need a light in order to fully enjoy the Kindle experience in low light situations. The Periscope solution is ingenious because it combines both in one package design! To the best of my knowledge (and research) this is the only product of its kind that provides both in one package. The LED light is contained in the spine of the cover, so it's tucked out of sight until it's needed. I recommend the Periscope unit to any Kindle owner. It's terrific!
DON"T BUY THIS TRASHMarch 29, 2009 Marcia Benson 6 out of 12 found this review helpful
This product is not only garbage, it will destroy your Kindle. First the stupid thing does not secure the KIndle. No matter how perfectly you put your Kindle in this crappy holder, it will not hold it. I had the Kindle in this horrible holder, the holder was closed and my Kindle still fell out, hit the floor and the screen on my Kindle broke. Now I have a crappy case that I can't return because they wont take it back and a broker Kindle. I am out over $400. Please save your KIndle. Don;t buy this trash!!!!!!!!!!!!!
